mag 254 etherne need help

Hi I have a mag 254 wireless. It recognizes the wireless but on boot up says Ethernet is not connected. Trying to use wireless only. Any help would be appreciated.

It recognizes the wireless but will not start saying the Ethernet is not connected

I know the internet is working as I can get YouTube or search the web

No Ethernet cable. It's supposed to be wireless

No cable attached. So how do I get it to stop looking for the Ethernet cable? Is there a setting I'm missing ?

so the Ethernet is not connected that why you get that

Correct. No cable strictly wireless. Jack is there for the cable. There must be something to set so it doesn't look for it

Go on to inter portal go in settings go into network and set for wireless

Ok I don't see anywhere to set for wireless

There should be wired or wireless pick wireless it will ask u for u password to set on wifi

I've done that. The wireless is working and I can access the net from the TV. But when I re boot the mag254 box it says internet not avail. Not connected. That is under Ethernet. Under wireless it shows wifi enabled and connected.

Do u have the WiFi adapter in the back USB or the front one try changing USB may be the USB is acting up

Thanks I'll give it a try. Currently in the back

As soon as I remove it from the back it shows disabled. Plugging it in the front changes nothing. Still reads disabled.

It has been a long, time since I have ran wifi in my mag I think that happened to me I had to do a factory reset and start over then it worked

So I tried resetting now I get nothing. Blank screen that says "no signal" or "mode not supported".
