Does MAC address change?

So a firestick was reset and STBemu was re-installed. He tells me that the MAC address changed. So my question is does this happen whenever STBemu is reinstalled?

The STBemu dos not have it's own assigned MAC and needs to be created by the User or application, is the reason why
