Friday night's Xfinity race will see Dale Jr behind the wheel driving his famous #88 one more time !

When Earnhardt retired, he still had a contract remaining with longtime sponsor Hellmann’s to run one Xfinity Series race in 2018 — Earnhardt chose Richmond Raceway.

There’s a real high chance that Junior doesn’t win on Friday night. Heck, there’s always a chance he spins out or blows an engine and doesn’t even finish the race.

But what if, by some chance, he was running in the Top 5 with 20 laps to go? What if, by some miracle, he actually won?

That possibility — to see that magic one more time — is worth watching all by itself. Regardless of what happens on Friday night, Dale Jr.’s legacy is already set. He’s bound for the NASCAR Hall of Fame, and there’s even an off chance he’s the first unanimous inductee.

But whatever does happen Friday night, make sure you’re watching. Watch that famous No. 88 loop around time after time, and listen to the man himself as he scratches that final racing itch.

You never know — it may be the last time you get to.

And no one wants to miss Dale Jr.’s last dash of magic.

Dale had the pole all wrapped up with only one more driver to qualify... Xfinity rookie Chris Bell beat Dale's time to take the pole.

Chris has a good chance to win this Xfinity Championship season too.
Justin Allgaier is first in points thou and will be hard to beat.
Justin with 5 wins this season and Chris with 4 wins .. and with only 5 points separating the two drivers.
Elliott Sadler, Cole Custer and Tyler Reddick round off the top 5 in season points.

Earnhardt has been dominating this race.

But after last caution stop, Matt Tifft beat Jr off pit row to overtake first.
Tifft had to come back from an early lap down too and has come back to the front and now leads the race with 26 laps to go !!

Allgaier just got spun by Custer ... and another caution

Allgaier is out of the race

Chris Bell takes the win !!

Chris was last year's 2017 Truck Series Champion.
Looking to make it two championship seasons in a row !!!
Next race for these guys is a road race and is what Chris excels at :)

Jr could not get a good restart on the last two restarts and ends in 4th place.
