You have to use a different skin... I'm assuming you are talking about the Add-on Shortcuts. If you are on Kodi 14 or better, you can install the repo for TheHighway, and he has a Confluence mod skin that has up to 25 shortcuts for Video and Music.

how do I do that? i click on system then appearance then, add on short cuts but it only allows me to add 5 under videos how do i add more

System>Settings>Appearance>Skin>Skin>Get more>scroll until you find Confluence -hwy2015 mod by highwy>install>change skin>Keep skin
