Try the power on the remote off and on a couple times if that doesn't work try unplug at the back of the vixo2 wait 10 seconds and plug back in
I have seen in other devices where your remote goes weird and if you remove and replace batteries that kind or resets the remote
The 10 second rule is a good one to let everything power down before you power it back up

I have seen two boxes spiked this way by having power to the power supply before plugged into the box. A good rule of thumb is to plug into the box before the wall plug. Hope you can solve your problem without sending it back for replacement.
Ulthanks lowteck I will try to put it that way. Not saying there isn't a difference but not sure what wound mak the difference
