Renew/Extend rocket donation before 30 expiration

Is it possible to extend a current donation before the last 29 days are left on it ?
Or is not possible to have a current donation with any more than (give or take a month) a year.

Thanks, rockycat. Will the new donation not be activated till I link a mac address to it? Say maybe 8 mths till I will need to set up new one.
