I am also new...sorry to piggy back here. Is potato the only addon you can use...i don't want to use for PVR just want to use it as an add-on. Thanks in advance.

For KODI v17.6, this is the best and easiest method (but uses the PVR for TV & the addon for VOD)

If using an android STB, I recommend Perfect Player (from Google Playstore)

Will have to have a look, I have stalker client, simple and perfect player all running great, but always like other options and good addons to try,
