What's up growers :)

I thought maybe I'm going to start a little thread for members who grow their own. Grow this beautiful plant, that devils lettuce LoL

I've been growing my self for about 11 years now, I started when I got sober and need it something to do, because you know them idle hands are the devils playground..soo I've been growing my own for a while now :)
I hope we got some growers here and we can share some pic's or info etc. My method is KISS :) Keep it simple stoner haha.

My Setup:

5x5x7 feet self made box, with 600W MH/HPS with air cooled hood. Two 1000w full spectrum LED's, 6in fan with a 18in carbon filter.

I usually grow 4 plants a time in 5 gallon smart pots with mix of FFOF and IndyGanja soil..some lime and some perlite for better drainage. This get's me a little bit over a pound every 3.5 months sometimes faster it depends on the strain.

I try to keep it as simple as I can. I stick to what works for me.

I don't grow as a hobby but this year I did plant a few seeds and one is coming up nicely. It's in a large coffee container next to a North east looking window.
I just put some dirt (along with some egg shells and coffee grounds) into a empty and washed out coffee container with drilled holes in the bottom.
I have placed a Spider Plant next to it to keep it company :)

Ahhhh the grow room!!! Been a few years since I had a run indoors. But my last indoor run was in a spare room, 10x10, maybe 12x12. 6 air cooled hoods, 1000w MH/HPS lights. I started with 2 6in fans with 2 filters but later threw in a I wanna say 10in fan, might have been 8 (would have to look, still got it in the garage somewhere) and then just 1 bigger filter. Had the other spare room just to veg. Nothing special. Few T5's to keep the girls happy. Power bill was around 1600-1700!! I didn't even grow outdoor last year but gonna throw some out there this year. My boys only use Gavita LED'S now. Less heat, less money got me thinking! lol

I had set up my indoor grow in my garage with a hidden closet to hide the light. It was a 10 ft square box covered on 3 sides (except the back). and was covered on the top. This sat on a set of 6 rubber rollers with rubber masking tape flush to the floor. When the box closed flush to the back wall,
you could not see ANY light. Used my garage normally. To access the grow setup, I just pulled back , and pulled out the box on the roller wheels.
Then closed up the box when done.

My Dad had a huge amount of land. On his land there are probably 20 out-buildings, like garages and sheds.
There was this one garage the size of about a 6 car stall garage, and then one year that garage seemed to have lost some depth and only a few cars would fit.

Dad had built a false wall and behind that wall was his grow opp... it was beautiful :)


I never told my dad that I knew that one of his garages had shrunk ..... crazy

Man of what can I see from that indoor grow is nice trees...1000W in each hood? How many hoods like that in a grow room? ;)

Yeah it's legal here also, Illinois. But the foking taxes excuse my language are just ridicules..fok that no way I'm paying $60+ for 3.5g

You should veg that plant for two, three weeks and move it outside. If you got good soil where you live it should do fine outdoors. It might be a little bit weaker then an indoor but still your own smoke :)
Coffee give N and CA, egg shells give you CA so there's no real need for the egg shells because you getting all that from coffee grounds. But you shouldn't feed your plant's up until about four weeks old maybe a bit more.

Damn Joker, now your talking. Must had to be nice with two rooms like that..damn I just wonder how much were you pulling out of that set up? Have you ever got to that 1g per watt stage? Probably did :)
Yeah the new technology and sh*t, I my self started to do some grows with LED's and MH/HPS mixed in getting some nice weight's but like I said I only do four plan't at a time and that's enough for me. I don't sell, it's for mine and my wifes use only :) I give a lot of away to friends and family, where ever we go somewhere I'm always "the guy with good bud".

I was thinking about getting into maybe a legal side of all this, get a small craft growers license etc, will see. If I get something out of something I love to do then I'm all good and dandy :)

Damn!! I can just imagine that grow room :) It's like some 007 sh*t haha hidden compartments in the garage.

I think I can realte to that a bit, I had a perfect setup in my old house walk in closet no one I mean no one knew about it beside my wife. And about few weeks ago when my son was getting ready for his prom he told me that he knew about my grow op all this time but he never said a word up until recently. I knew he would find out sooner or later.

But that story of your is pretty nice :) You guys never talked about it? even when you got older etc?

It's gonna be a nice story for the grandkids. ;)

Just dust bunnies here HEHEHEH. I donnow nothing about nothing man!!!! I did hear of a big home built on a cave that stretched a long way underground with a spring fed water system and a giant solar field once, but I can't remember where it was. Been a while back but Lotsa coin in that place.

County girl has a licensed farm around riversbend but that is a dangerous thing dealing with any form of Govt, no kickbacks means you are in the sights all the time.
