Kangaroos are indigenous to Australia.
There are more Kangaroos in Australia than there are Australian people.
The Kangaroo has many brothers that look like it (Wallabies and Wallaroos), but the term Kangaroo technically describes the largest of the bunch and includes the Red Kangaroo, the Eastern Grey Kangaroo, the Western Grey Kangaroo and the Antilopine Kangaroo.
A group of Kangaroos is called a mob. A male is a Boomer and a female is a Jill.
Don't drive at night in the Outback, if you can help it.
Kangaroos account for over 80% of animal collisions.
The chance of an accident is so high, that most rental car insurance policies won’t cover you if you travel between dusk and dawn in the Outback.

Ever since the Great Emu War of 1932, some of us Kangaroos have been in disguise.
As if them dang Boomerangs weren't bad enough for us Kangaroos, then them Aussies started using them guns on the Emus.
I do not need to tell of our fright in that.
We are just glad that it was a hard battle and we had time to go down under (no pun intended).
But then to our great joy, the buzz executives came along and made us famous, put us on their Boomerang box!
I know it's a Boomerang, but hey, what ever it takes because you know, it's hard to shoot a famous Kangaroo :)

October 28th 2021

A MOB !!!

Amateur golfer Wendy Powick was out on the fairway polishing up her skills when a whole MOB of Kangaroos came hopping across the grass in front of her.

The spectacle took place at the Arundel Hills Country Club about eight hours north of Sydney, Australia. Wendy said she was teeing off when the large animals began heading in her direction. She said she was just about to swing her driver on the 11th hole when they showed up and all she could do was laugh about it and wait for them to get out of the way.
