XR4000

before update...
-Firmware Version: V20200615
-Buzz4 Version: 4.0.476 - Updated:06/11/2020

after update...
-Firmware Version: V20201218
-Buzz4 Version: 4.0.494 - Updated:12/11/2020

Approx 4 minutes to download the Update.
Approx 2 minutes to Install System Update.
XR4000 rebooted automatically and opened Launcher Home screen.

An on-screen message popped up stating that it was installing Chrome (I am guessing it is the Chrome Web-Browser). There was no option to decline this , it started automatically.
Seemed to have taken the install and then the screen turned dark for approx 2 minutes, until I pressed the Home button on the RCU, which brought back the Launcher screen and all seemed okay.

Connected to LiveTV fine, with Server Settings intact as they were before the update.
Connected to TV Series fine, with my Favorites list intact as it was before the update.
Connected to VODs fine.
In the VOD categories I see it is missing the Espanol categories.
I do not know if this was always like this, I just happen to notice that after the update today. And it makes no difference to me (might mean something to bi-lingual speaking people thou), but I was curious as to how those categories could be missing. This is experienced while testing thru the 'Modern' Launcher, if that makes any difference.

Categories currently shown are ...
-All
-Favorite
-Movies
-Classics

Missing categories are...
-Peliculas (movies)
-Clasicos (classics)

-Switched to 'Media Player' Launcher and it did not crash as it did before.
-Switched to 'Media player 2' Launcher and it opened up ok too. Except you can not scroll up to Settings option with RCU 'up' button. You can scroll up there with mouse function but seems like it can not be entered. Clicking OK does nothing. So I entered Settings thru the 'All Apps' shortcut and then back into Utilities for the Home screen option.

With the TV Series, I like the idea that when viewing a episode to be able to see small icons of other episodes without exiting the episode currently being viewed.
The EZ Media Box just received this option and works nicely. I have seen it in action thru other boxes as well and is a nice function to have.
Looking forward to maybe seeing that added in future updates :)

This new Update is solid and impressive so far ... thnx guys :)

Saw the changes made in the Server Connections menu, cool :)

In the M3U option, there is a option to add file from storage (USB drive). The option has always been there, but the option does not work. You can open the storage thru the option and even chose an m3u file, but it does not install the path onto the 'M3u playlist URL' line.
Before the update, it did install the path onto that line, but it would not open to view channels.

So in short, this option never worked before the update and still does not after the update, but something has changed there.

added edit...
I was mistaken about the path not appearing on to the URL line.
I did get it to appear, but it still will not connect.
Seems the problem was that the USB drive was not being correctly recognized, once I rebooted the Buzz and re-inserted the drive, then it worked to transfer the path onto that line.... but still no connection is being made.

So in short, nothing changed.

I think the path may be running into errors somehow, or something maybe along them lines of thought.

The USB drive and the same m3u file works in similar fashion on another brand name box , so the file is good concerning that aspect.

There are 2 pages for settings
Ya need to move right to get to this page.
It's not clickable.
