Hi
I changed my home screen format and now have no control over it.It keeps looping or constantly changing... i remember a post about fixing that while back but i cant find it ... could someone point it to me and Thanks in advance

Toothpick in the AV hole to bring the box into recovery mode and then factory Reset.

Or if you catch it just right, you can get the side-bar menu to open and then you can change that Home screen.
Its the 'MediaPlayer' Home screen that is the issue, so change it to 'Modern' or 'Classic'

When in the loop,wait for the Home screen to appear for that second and hit the right button on the RCU or it could be the down direction or the OK button. If done right, that will bring up that side bar menu and the Buzz Utilities where the Home screen selections are found.
You have to catch it just right thou and it will work. I have successfully done it like this 3 different times.
Keep trying till it works.
It may bring up the wrong menu so if that happens then try again.

The original post you remember seeing, I think I found it in the XR4000 forum.
The XR(S)4000 models and XR(S)4500 models and the ST4000 VidStick will all be the same.

I never thought to look there wondered why i couldn't find it.....and not trying to hijack my own thread but any word on the new file for these...this week has been bad for me with looping, stopping you name it etc.. not complaining just bringing it to your attention

not sure on release date.
I think we are passed the previously announced approx date now.

The team are currently working on some things that have come up with the VidStick and are refining the work done on the XR4000 model (which seems to be the testing ground for the 4500 model).

and do not worry thinking that you are complaining.
I have seen complaining and it almost always comes with remarks including words like 'crap' and all that kind of bs

What your are doing is 'reporting' your experiences and possible faults.
Respectful and responsible.
These reports help the Team

yea i know about the winnnners lol they wouldn't be happy if u gave them a tv and paid them to watch

I have had the box about 3.5 months and till the last week i would rate the box and system an 8 or higher out of 10 but this week that goes down to about 2

Kind of funny before I did the reboot with the toothpick thing I would loose sound and still have the picture going... now the picture freezes and the sound keeps going....

I try to give an honest account of what my experience is with this system including the service and box.

I have noticed today that the iptv service is not very stable on many channels.
Today might not be good time to troubleshoot.

what i found out from friends a hide ip program help so much no not because of the box i think more for internet they get more working channels that work they didnt work before and way way less freeze and looping now anyhow try that when things get better you never now what may happen but its a very good try and make sure your vpn is on when you start watching anyhow good luck trying that you never know what may happen box maybe become a 10 lol have great day this is for usa I'm taking about dont know about Canada or other place but still worth try

I will look around tonight for a vpn....my only question to that is why did it work good for the first 3 months without one....had a few hiccups but nothing that was discouraging
and I got the new box update tonight but still about the same with looping etc.
So that points me to the network or the server and I see they put out a post saying they where working on it
Hopefully they will get it before long:)

So earlier this morning things where working like it was this past week or so ...not good...I did a reset on the box and on the server ,,,now things are running fine at the moment .... keeping fingers crossed

I also did a reset yesterday but that had no effect

Maybe they got it fixed

Might help someone else

it could of been but the new file didn't make any difference yesterday....
