portal dilemma

I was provided p4 when i got service last year. Out of curiosity i changed portals. Now i cannot get p4 back. Every time i change portals I'm assigned other portals but none are p4. Never gotten p3 either. Potals seem to have different channels. Can someone explain why I cannot get p4 assigned ? Or how i can manually get the portal i want?

The system assigns portals according to how much use they are getting. If one has the most users on it another will be assigned. There is no way to specify a particular one.

i dont think so each portal got different channels otherwise you would see portals to pick option with list of channels at time of purchase. i changed portal few times and got same channel line up and made no different for me.

Thanks for educating me. I did get about 15 pay per view stations on p1. Otherwise their all about the same. Thanks again
