Hola from the UK.

Just bought the shield and trying to get it to work. Loving that it’s blisteringly fast, but totally struggling to figure out IPTV. Have spent hours reading stuff and watching YouTube videos and getting nowhere.

I have a subscription and have installed express VPN (works fine) and simple IPTV (which I paid for to activate). I’ve tried adding the URL I was sent from the service provider as an EPG, but it won’t accept the URL. I’ve also tried adding it from the web, but it says my MAC address is invalid.

I’m pretty technical usually but totally out of my comfort zone with this - it’s all new to me.

Anything obvious I’m missing?

Thanks in advance

A VPN will, from the appearance of this Service, switch your connection through a network of Server links, providing the IP address the Servers see, as different than your actual IP Address.
Next time you connect, it will be a different IP Address, possibly in another Country.
The Security of this Service will not allow you to use a VPN.
Well, your first connection will probably work, but change a channel and you will most likely not connect.

I’ve supplied them MAC address, so I thought they would use that instead?

Try Turning OFF the VPN and see what Happens...!

You have chosen probably the worst method to enjoy these services, if you are using an external Android STB.
Simple IPTV is useful for SmartTV users, but completely unnecessary when using a STB, especially a good STB!
Switch your account access to playlist method from MAC#, then use Perfect Player, or Kodi with IPTVXtra2.
You can also stay with the MAC#, and use STBemu Pro, or other Android app.
