Is the Buzztv APL3000 capable of playing back Dolby Digital 5.1?

With Auto Detect On or HDMI selected the output is 2 channel PCM only.

Really like the box and would be nice to get 5.1 audio.

Thx

Advanced or high end android stb's will support 5.1 passthrough (if you have an Optical o/p, you are probably good to go!)
IPTV Streams most likely will not have the Encoded audio though.

there is a post where someone said that if they played a movie from a hard drive with 5.1 dolby it does indeed play on the buzz.
streaming iptv probably won't be in that format though.
so the question is the buzz capable of playing dolby 5.1 is : yes
Try it with a movie and let us know if I read that right. :o

You are correct Sir the Buzz 3000 plays Dolby 5.1 on SPMC but not on IPTV. Tried with 2 different providers ...

Curious, how much Dolby 5.1 affects the bitrate?
