Switching Channels

Is anybody else having trouble changing channels? Every time time i switch channels it will go into slow motion and if i go back to the previous channel you can not even see the picture.
The only way to fix it is to unplug the machine. Using URL 2.18-r10

My channel change averages 7-8 seconds in between on my MAG254. My Avov box is 1 to 2 seconds.
