As for spammers its only a suggestion so I thought i would share. We use the following ones bellow and it cuts out 99% of them and saves a whole bunch of time on the moderation side of the forum due to spammers.

Cloudflare = we use as its free service
Stopforumspam = we use as its free service
Akismet = we use as its free service
Honeypot = we use as its free service

Things to do in the back-end
Security Question for Example [what is the name of this site] Usually spammers get caught here :)
reCAPTCHA = easy on humans harder on spammers

If I nudged him about it, his choices would be to ask administration to change it or leave as is.

yea, lots of them are from same sign in IP too.
But when they post they use a different IP, so even banning the IP they come back under, they just get a new one again and again.
Tinie may have to get busy again to get this stopped , but till then we'll keep on them.

Their profile shows a link for their Home page.
See, they aren't deleted from forum till admin deals with it. Take a look at those few that been on-line all night here. They are all the same MO on their profile. But don't click on their links, that'll just improve their gain.
Their links they have and just while on our boards are gaining them profit in one way or another. The more members we have, then the more gain they gain. Google even sponsors a similar deal with a program they have. But them google sponsored guys aren't spammers, lol.. yea right !!

Big Thanks to Staff for the quick reaction to a negative situation...must be some great product if you have to stoop to those kind of methods to get it out there...I don't mean to judge but I will say spammers are lower than whale $hit in the ocean..JMO.
