Hopefully this will work. My screen is still black. How are we going to get it the bios screen?

turn rec off...unplug the power jack from rear of rec..as soon as you plug it back in keep repeatedly hitting the menu button on remote..this will bring up the blue bios screen..then go to
def. settings

No I did not. As I was clicking the menu button the unit goes off and wont come back on I have tried several times

When you answered my post yesterday did you read what I had done already and what my problem is now. I am afraid to do the reset for fear I will do something wrong. As long as you know that I can't get anything on the box after trying all the things KatT said to try.

since you don't like to follow instructions...my advice is to choose Def. Settings(fac default) in your bios screen, the device will boot on it's own, do not uplug
this will require you to start over..
