Hello, I would like to know something:
I have a mag 254 box and a mx2 Box with openelec with kodi 14.2

Can I use the MAC address of the mag254 in ether the mag 254 and my kodi to watch tv not at the same time but on any of them Using the same MAC address? For example if I configure in Papiao the MAC address of the mag 254 and put it in kodi using nfps, can I watch tv on either box ? And in case I buy an fire stick , can I se it also ?

The STBs (MAGs and AVOVs) send machine info back to the server which makes the MAC unusable on other devices, unless that same machine info is set into the other connecting client.

Does the Mag send it's unique serial number also for identification back to the server?
And by doing so preventing it's Mac Address from being hijacked as was described in another thread?

Don't know for sure, but probably yes. However, earlier there were conflicts with using MACs only, so the feature may have not been on back then.
