just go to set-up & select software update.. if u can watch tv,, u'll be able to update.. for those of u that r curious,, the record function now works,, as neighbor is recording 2 & a half men as i speak...

"no correct url" is what i keep getting trying to update. if i move the box to my router and plug it in to another tv way on the other side of the house i think it will work. but if i get the file on a usb thumb it will work better for me

i got it i did not page down far enough on the in portal to see the update and the outerportal does not work

it updates just as well from the 'live tv portal.. just hit setup button on remote & select sw-update.. it will list both the loaded sw, & the available update. it shows the loading progress bar,, & then auto-reboots after update. as to my comment on recording,, it does seem to record, as it shows red button on screen with counter, but don't seem willing to replay. i'll continue this conv. in its own thread when he succeeds..

thats because you backed out of 'live tv to 'settings menu,, in the main menu.. instead, just hit the set-up button on the rc & scroll down to sw-update..

well,, ok. i know there were 3 different remotes & they didn't all have a setup button... tks...
