00:1A:79 MAC with IPTV Staker and Kodi

A couple of months ago I bought a MAG 254 and registered a donation. The mag works but I'd rather use Kodi or and Android client. From what I read, and after much playing around, Kodi or a Android client won't work with a 00:1A:79 MAC. I understand I need to change the MAC registered under my donation to start with 00:1A:78. I know how to do this but I was told that if I change the registered MAC then change it back to the MAC of my Mag 254, the system will see my Mag as already registered and will lock it out, the result being my Mag would be useless.

So I guess my question is, if I change the MAC registered with my donation, and then change it back to my Mag MAC will I be OK?

yes...............i change from stalker to avov to mag with np but not good to do all time just saying
