Update issue

Sorry but I'm having difficulty figuring out how to do a software update. In settings I click software update. I choose download method from HTTP then I click "start update" then "verify" and nothing happens. What am I missing or doing wrong? Thank you! Mag 254

Is inner portal update you are referring to, is it the same as Settings - System Settings - Software update. I am a newbie and I am not too familiar with the term "inner portal". Thanks
