Mag 254 LOGO BACK: Hope it helps others
I struggled with this issue for days and finally fix my box Mag 254 LOGO missing by doing this:
FIRST STEP
1).DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE-- Download and extract from

choose Mag 254
"bootstrap_254" and "imageupdate_ul" then rename both of them to bootstrap and imageupdate respectively.
2).Place the both files (imageupdate and Bootstrap) into a folder called mag254 on your USB stick

SECOND STEP (BIOS) WIPE THE BOX:
PLUG IN POWER SUPPLY > HOLD MENU BUTTON
Enter The BIOS. > choose “Def. Settings” > press the right. If Message "Wrong message" pops up IGNORE;
Press “OK”.> Select “Exit & Save” to save and exit.
STB will reboot automatically.
message ´Tftp load ´ will be on screen. Now unplug POWER lead.

FINAL STEP: (BIOS) FLASH THE BOX
1) Plug the USB Stick in the REAR USB Port
2) Power the STB on - press and hold the MENU button (just above the volume up button - you have to be quick)
3) Go to Upgrade Tools, then USB bootstrap.

This will then flash the STB with all your portal settings, be patient. Proceed with normal set up.

It's been 3 days I am seating in front of the tv w/ my laptop on my lap reading all kind of infos from different sites that I am member of. But, finally, I got this sticky that is so simple,so explicit that I got my logo going back on. Thank you guys Thank you HUMK and Thank you to where you got it from and Thank you to the guy who took his time and made it work. Today, I can seat and enjoy it real good with a satisfaction.

I keep getting a "Can't find......" message about the image file.... Tried everything. Hopefully when the next update comes out the boot logo will be back. Meanwhile I am going to just try and load just the "logo" pic by it's self.

I read sometime back that these files work for some Boxes: bootstrap_254.clean & imageupdate. In my box that combination did not work, but it worked for others. Can't think of a reason. Maybe (not sure) European build vs Chinese build. This is testing and I love it.

On the video there is a small mistake. You have to change the second ip as well. They dont show that on the video.

You will need these 2 files.Plus the Mcast program. I will stress this is only for the Mag254.

On the Mcast program on Stream 1 make sure you put the ip that shows up on your tv when you go into mcast in bio setting.
On Stream 2 you have to change some digits . Just up 1 on the last 2 numbers.

Here is a example,
Stream 1 ip 224.50.0.50:9000
Stream 2 ip 224.50.0.51:9001

The tv will show you when its done. Just close the Mcast program after its done as it maybe still running.

This will work if it doesnt work for you it might be because your anti virus is blocking.

this method worked for me tonight to get the infomir logo back up and going. just remember to change the box address in mcast! i had tried everything i could to get my logo back,even these files,but,i forgot 1 important step.
on line 1 in mcast you have to change :50 to what your box says on the screen ( mine says 100 ) then on line 2 where the :51 is i changed to 101 and viola loaded these images and logo is back and it only took maybe 5 to 10 minutes max.

Let both run at the same time for over an hour.... nada. I would give my left Kahuna to figure out what is wrong. Should the speeds be changed? I'll keep fiddling.

disable your anti virus it might be blocking the program

Did that. Trying again. Maybe I didn't let it run long enough. For giggles I just did the top. Took about 5 minutes then gave "wrong image" message. Then rebooted. Then I started it again and this time started both. The TV showed only the one ip addy, but packets were being sent from both top and bottom. Just going to let it run till the packet count matches the File size number the program shows. But it looks like it is going to take hours in my case. But Hey! Gotta learn sometime.
