Does anybody know if this box is compatible with the new service? And can you install kodi on it? If not is there any box that can do both?

yes it can but they use a different emulator for iptv not one on box

You will need to install MX player as well to smooth out the video. Try that before "re-installing" the emulator. For the Mac address, make sure you change the last 6 digits to match your box. It hasn't yet been tested how well it will authenticate against the servers for live TV.
Some have it blocked from isp.
