    Here are the 2 options I recommend: option# 1You need to perform a factory reset on the router like when you bought it brand new see if the mag box connects agian. option#2 the power serge may effected the router which is not functioning any longer the way It soppose to so you may want to buy a new one if you can.

    What you have is a routing issue, option#1 will fix it but cant guarantee it will work since it went through a serge. Will not hurt to try though. I also recommend if you have power serge`s often by a power serge.

    She has one but has had it a long time. We will get another one to be on the safe side. And thanks so much for all your help. You know almost my first post on this I mentioned the power surge that we had an no one picked up on that. Again thank you and all of the others that have helped along the way.

    Hey BK, I am finally working on daughters box. My problem was when I entered the mad address I entered an 8 for a B. I rechecked after the last time I talked to you and it was back to the 8 again. So I changed it again and backed out completely and back in and it stayed the same . Checked again last night and the mac was still correctly listed. This am checked again and it was correctly listed, so tried the box again. Plugged it in it did its thing and presto we have a winner. Thanks
