    Android IPTV STB Emulator

This topic is for those who want to test the new IPTV services while waiting for a great compromise box. To get this, here is the link for the app on the google play store:

    Code:
     https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vasilchmax
Here is the archive of all but the latest version of the apk:

    Code:
     http://wiki.stbemu.com/index.php/Download:Archive
Here is the STBemu release thread for a link to the current apk, if you can't get it on the google play:

    i am successfull with bluestacks.
    let me know.
Bluestacks seems to work best, because it stays on the same tablet aspect, vs. switching to "whatever" like Andy. The STB Emulator will force Andy to go to a "phone" aspect or even upside down, but Andy is more like a real android experience. I'm going to try another emulator called windroy, to see if it works better than bluestacks. I don't like that Bluestacks will force you to install apps that you don't need, but Andy requires that you see ads to use it.

I'm also running the emulator on my "mediabox" android, but it also has some problems with aspect ratios for the application. I can now see why they call the emulator solutions, even on a MAG260, as 'unstable'.

You have to fetch the STB Emulator and the MX Player from the play store. Click on Search, and type in Set-Top-Box and it should start the play store app, where you can download it from there. Bluestacks isn't a real emulator for Android, but allows you to play android apps. I can't get Andy (another PC Android emulator) to work properly with the STB Emulator, just don't bother with that.

the thing no1 has mentioned is that there r @ least 6 different versions of mxplayer @ the play store,, & they're all a little different. none of them will show me any kind portal , or profile settings.. i tried them all over & over again. also,, no1 mentioned what version of bluestacks( i believe there r @ least 3..... some 1 mentioned there being 'sliders along the upper left side of the screen that would open up as i dragged it down, but no list of any kind... just the date.. & the settings menu on right upper side do nothing but help with setting preferences...

You don't enter info into MX player. The portal is in the stb emulator. Also, in the emulator settings, (3 dots top right) you can set external player so you can use MX player.

No worry I will make simple easy for you, Just open your browser and go to this site and download this bluestacks:

    HTML Code:
    http://www.bluestacks.com/?gclid=CPL9p6OUh8MCFWsF7Aod4QgA5w
Then open your bluesatcks on your pc(if on your using an android iptv then no need for bluestacks) then go to browser and type in apptoid then install it then open apptoid and download mxplayer the first one you see there (you do not need to enter anything in the mxplayer, it help things to be played out the right way, then open your browser and type in stb emulater:
    HTML Code:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vasilchmax&hl=en
Then install it then open your emulator and follow my previous post for setup.
