IDK about no help gamb. Looks to me like you have gotten answered to every question you posted. If you need more specific help you'd probably get it by starting your own thread and giving details about your situation, what you're expecting, what you're having trouble with, and finally what you have tried already.

Are you rooted first off. If your not then you won't be able to install the play store. Also why do you want the play store? Takes up room and resources.

Okay I have to recant my previous statement. VOD is working but live tv channels are not. Im comparing to a cheap rca tablet and a windows laptop running bluestacks. I have working live tv channels on both. I cannot get any live tv channels on Amazon Fire TV box. I have mirrored my setups and cannot figure out where i'm going wrong. Starting to think the fire tv cannot handle live tv.

- tried, internal, vlc plug in, MX Player and xmtv player.
- Tried two different versions of STB-Emu using 0.5.21 now.
- tried different mac and ip addys just in case.
- VOD works, trying channels that I know work watching on tablet do not work on FireTv Box.

Not sure what to check next. Is Live tv channels working for anyone on their fire tv?
