    MAG 254 > MAG 257 and MAG 260 > MAG 350

The Q4 of 2015 brings us new boxes with faster CPU and HEVC (h.265).

The successsor of our beloved MAG 254 will be the new MAG 257.
And the successor of the Android box MAG 260 will be the new MAG 350.

Let us look on some facts:

    MAG 257:
    - High-performance Set-Top Box solution with new STiH301 chipset (1,5 GHz, 3500 DMIPS)
    - 512 MB RAM

    - The STB is using a HEVC technology, allowing to perform better quality with more velocity.
    - integration with the Verimatrix advanced security profile and Videomarktm, that permits to insert watermark in the video stream

I've never seen a more rapid and stable TV box. You can choose between Android and Linux

I think that basically they seek to meet the needs of providers of legal TV services . In Europe now 5 satellite providers already provide for their satellite customers free access to the same channels using MAG boxes anywhere in the world without restrictions. For example - If my brother has 3 receiver on his account, he can activate up to 3 IPTV boxes for me and I can use them where I wish. .
