This will affect everything. Think groceries and gas are high now ?
They will be 23 % higher come the 1st.

Alberta's Danielle Smith blocked the earlier carbon tax on gasoline but since has reinstated that tax... go figure !

And it gets worse everyday. .. just today I learned some more astonishing 'news'.

'On April 1st 2024 gas prices will increase all across Canada as the Trudeau government will be increasing the federal carbon tax!
Meanwhile the NDP have introduced Bill C-372 which is known as the “fossil fuels advertising act” and if it gets passed into a law, Canadians could see jail time for simply speaking well of fossil fuels!

If this passes and according to most analysts it probably won't pass, but if it does it will mean (among other things) that no rebates or other promotional gimmicks will not be allowed. That 3 cents off per liter thru your AMA contract, will be no more. And if you promote 'fossil fuels' in any way, it's off to jail for you or a half million dollar fine, or higher.

reading in one of the many provisions in the Censorship Bill ... If you say something online or in any atmosphere, and someone makes/files a complaint about that, as a hate crime. Then the government will initiate an investigation.
This will cost the person being complained about approx 70 thousand dollars.
That's 20 thousand to the person initiating the complaint and 50 thousand for investigation costs. Never mind what's coming if found guilty.

The person initiating the complaint can receive up to 20 thousand $ just for initiating. The government takes over at that point. No cost to that initiator, but a rather large pay out is possible.
Then even if found innocent of any wrong doing, you still have to pay up to 50 thousand for fees incurred during the investigation and the possible 20 thousand to the worm who falsely thought he or she was a human being.

Read between the lines on this and it says... 'report someone for hate crime and no cost to you, a pay day may come'

I have heard, even Canadian law makers, lawyers, judges and etc can not define a 'hate crime' or 'hate speech' but some how a yocal local that reports such a thing can ?
