I love the lakes in Canada, they are so clean and blue.

Almost every lake in the USA is SO polluted from stagnation for power generation and due to being used as a dumping ground for industrial and city waste, it is pathetic.

I can go to the Tennessee River lakes and remember when the water was clear enough you could see to the bottom unless it had rained and the runoff had murked it up for a day or so.

I don't even want to go and camp there anymore because the water is green with algae and who knows what.

Some of the landings around Huntsville Al. had fish with toxic levels of Mercury for years.

I have been telling everyone I knew in any government position for years to stop anyone from using the lakes and rivers to clean their toilets and chemicals up. It is a disgrace.
