    Tips for trouble-free updateing

    1. If while installing an update the installation seems to stop and hang there indefinitely, this can be an indication of too low of internal memory on your device. This is usually caused by having too many recordings recorded to the internal memory. If the box doesn't have enough internal memory, the OTA will not work.

    2. Turn off VPN while updating is in progress.

    3. If after update and a reboot, the red light stays on continually and will not seem to power up, then unplug the HDMI cable for 30 seconds or so and then reattach, or change out the HDMI cable.

    4. If after an update you find the "HDMI and CEC" settings are not working properly, then redo the "auto tv setup" settings.

    * We will add to this post as we see the reports (old or new).
Thnx to tech support and staff and members for their reports and solutions.

"The illusion of freedom will continue for as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will take down the scenery, move the tables and chairs out of the way, then they will pull back the curtains and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."
