In 1970 the Baltimore Orioles faced the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series. The Reds were the favorite with a line up that included Pete Rose, Johnny Bench and Tony Perez.
But the Orioles had the best third baseman in baseball. He was referred to as the human vacuum cleaner.
Acquired 10 gold gloves during his career.
    The Orioles won the Series.

    Who was this third baseman?
#5... and NO, Johnny 5 did not play baseball, Creeks did tho...!!!

"Sure, he had already won both an American League (1964) and All-Star Game (1966) Most Valuable Player Award, but Robinson was hardly a household name outside the Baltimore area."

The Baltimore Orioles were Me Favorite back then, guess I Jinxed them for later years...?!?

What Major Leaguer was the first and only one to win the Most Valuable Player Award, in both the American and the National leagues ?

Who was the first African-American to become the Manager of a Major League team, with the American league?
Then some years later who was the first African-American to become the Manager of a Major League team, with the National league?
