    The Lost City (2022)

    Sandra Bullock
    Channing Tatum
    Daniel Radcliffe

    Directors:
    Aaron Nee & Adam Nee

    Filmed in the Dominican Republic.

The premise for this film is similar to Romancing the Stone (1984), and other romance comedies.

Brad Pitt's 'cameo' appearance as the character of Jack Trainer is a nod to 'Romancing the Stone'.
In that film the lead character was called Jack Colton. While Mary Ellen Trainor, (the wife of Robert Zemeckis who directed it), had a small role in the 1984 movie.

Pitt's appearance is a bit more then a cameo appearance thou, Pitt does get quite a bit more screen time then just a short cameo clip.

Daniel Radcliffe plays the eccentric billionaire.

Sandra Bullock's character is the grieving, reclusive and highly successful romance novelist Loretta Sage.
Channing Tatum co-stars as her long-time and extremely popular cover model, Adam.

After their most recent event goes sideways, Loretta is kidnapped by the villainous rich guy. He's read her latest book and needs her help in locating the 'Crown of Fire' hidden somewhere on a remote island. Things have to move quickly before the volcano erupts and buries the treasure.
At this point, Adam is committed to rescuing Loretta and proving that he's more than a pretty face.

Sandra Bullock in 2013 was listed in the Guinness Book Of World Records as the highest-paid actress in the world.

The movie was okay, I guess. I did not really get it thou.
It got more interesting as it went along (I guess), but the comedy was lacking and Sandra could have played her part it seems with her eyes closed, and maybe she did

"The illusion of freedom will continue for as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will take down the scenery, move the tables and chairs out of the way, then they will pull back the curtains and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."
