Supertramp knew before Pink Flyod ever did

    "School"
I can see you in the morning when you go to school
Don't forget your books, you know you've got to learn the golden rule,
Teacher tells you stop your play and get on with your work
And be like Johnnie - too-good, well don't you know he never shirks
    - he's coming along!

After School is over you're playing in the park
Don't be out too late, don't let it get too dark
They tell you not to hang around and learn what life's about
And grow up just like them - won't let you work it out
    - and you're full of doubt

Don't do this and don't do that
What are they trying to do?- Make a good boy of you
Do they know where it's at?
Don't criticize, they're old and wise
Do as they tell you to
    Don't want the devil to
Come and put out your eyes

Maybe I'm mistaken expecting you to fight
Or maybe I'm just crazy, I don't know wrong from right
But while I am still living, I've just got this to say
It's always up to you if you want to be that
    want to see that
    want to see that way
    - you're coming along!

I think Supertramp's third album Crime of the Century, has alot of 'inside' wisdom involved.

How about the lyrics to Bloody Well Right !!

    "Bloody Well Right"
So you think your schooling's phoney
I guess it's hard not to agree
You say it all depends on money
And who is in your family tree
    Right, you're bloody well right
you know you got a right to say
    Right, you're bloody well right
you know you got a right to say
    Ha-ha you're bloody well right
you know you're right to say
    Yeah-yeah you're bloody well right
you know you're right to say
    Me, I don't care anyway!
Write your problems down in detail
Take them to a higher place
You've had your cry - no, I should say wail
In the meantime hush your face
Right, quite right, you're bloody well right...

And there is the Asylum track

'I told them look I said, I am not the way you are thinking.
Please don't arrange to have me sent to no Asylum.
I am just as sane as anyone !'

The whole album is full of it .. and not the perferbeeal 'it'

Supertramp had some insight on chit !!
Their Crime of the Century album was not their only one either.
Their next album was titled...Crisis? What Crisis?

"The illusion of freedom will continue for as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will take down the scenery, move the tables and chairs out of the way, then they will pull back the curtains and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."

'Fool's Overture', from the 'Even In The Quietest Moments' album was not anything like what we may think thou.
Rodger Hodgens said it was all just a bunch of gibberish that took a few years to compose

I remember as a kid about 15 or 16 years old, when Supertramp's 'Even in the Quietest Moments' album was released.
I was first in line at my local Radio Shack to purchase it. I was only one in line ... lol
    It was a small town

When I saw the album cover with that Grand Piano standing in the wilderness and covered in snow, it brought an ominous feeling into me. It was like a peek into the future.

I got home and played the album.... wow.... there is no feeling that can be described.

Then the last song on the album (side 2) was Fool's Overture
It will knock you around, that track will.

Crime of the Century may have been about the 'planned' World War II fiasco

The words 'Crime of the Century' have been used to refer to WWII by some researchers.
Not because it was a war, but because it was a planned event with great fortunes to be had.

I am telling you guys and gals, Supertramp knew stuff

    "Crime Of The Century"

Now they're planning the crime of the century
    Well what will it be?
Read all about their schemes and adventuring
Yes, It's well worth the fee
    So roll up and see
    How they've raped the universe
How they've gone from bad to worse
Who are these men of lust, greed and glory?
Rip off the mask and let's see.
But that's not right - oh no, what's the story?
But there's you and there's me
    That can't be right
