Did you make sure that cache cleared?Only reason I ask is because you were almost at 1 GB and that's 20 times higher I've ever had and it took twice to clear it.

The black screen between channel changes is normal and is due to the default player being used. However, secondary player pauses the screen on channel change and tends to be a little snappier. Go with secondary player, thats why I was using it from the first ever buzz unit.

    Question

    Thanks Maestro,

I have two 3900 models and one is set to default player and has no black screen between channel changes.
So, I took your advice and switched the second 3900 ( The problematic one), video player to Secondary and seems to have stopped the black screen issue but when changed server black screen came back again although the player was still set on Secondary ?!
    Thanks

Then with that server use default.

Then it might be on the server side.

I don't think it is the server as I have tried different ones to rule that out could the SSD that came with 3900 do that? cause my on my other 3900 for some reason the SSD stopped working and disappeared and that 3900 does not give me any black screen!

if you were playing something from ssd and gives you problem then you can say its ssd. but your issue is live tv which comes from server not through ssd.
again, I would say factory reset is your only solution bud. I know you dont want to loose stuff but either you loose stuff or have issue with live tv.

    Thanks Ryu,
You are right I may have to bite the bullet and do the factory reset and get this over with.
My only worry is that what if after factory reset, the problem persists
