    The Voyeurs (2021)

Rated R for strong sexual content, nudity including brief graphic nudity, language and some disturbing images.

    Director: Michael Mohan
    Writer: Michael Mohan
Stars: Sydney Sweeney, Justice Smith,Ben Hardy

Pippa and Thomas move into their dream apartment, they notice that their windows look directly into the apartment opposite - inviting them to witness the volatile relationship of the attractive couple across the street. But when they attempt to anonymously intercede in their lives, they unwittingly set in motion a chain of events that will lead to disaster.

The film almost received an NC-17 rating before further edits were done to achieve an R-rating.

At first I thought that this movie reminded me of that old Alfred Hitchcock movie with James Stewart.. I forget the name of that one now.
It was about a guy temporary injured and stuck in a wheel chair in his apartment. He could clearly see across the way and into other people's apartments.

The couple portrayed in this movie did peer into other's apartments and the sex scenes that followed were of the R rated type scenes... of THE R RATE TYPE (just wanted to make sure I said that ).

James Stewart would have thrown his high powered camera and binoculars into the trash-can at this point.

In the Hitchcock movie, James character did see something (a murder I think it was) and so do this young couple see things.

These actors are not the best actors in the world, but in this plot they do a good job, or perhaps it is that the story is decent enough to fog the actors abilities. At any rate the bad acting can be tolerated as long as the story continues to hold our attentions.
An Alfred Hitchcock plot can do just that.

This one kinda falls off after the window peering scenes thou.
Not just that the the sex scenes were totally responsible for holding it together, but for the reason it showed that even bad acting can become okay with a good story line and some naked boobies always helps... .... but it sorta still stays mysterious as to what exactly is going to happen next and that is attractive, sort of.
No wonder they edited it to up the rating to R-rated.

"The illusion of freedom will continue for as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will take down the scenery, move the tables and chairs out of the way, then they will pull back the curtains and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."
