Ripple wine was a popular wine in the 1960s and 1970s in the United States. It was produced by the E & J Gallo Winery as a low-end wine with a high alcohol content.

Ripple wine was a fermented juice with added flavors, colors and sugars. Brandy was typically added as a preservative and sweetener. At one time, it was used as a dessert wine and was very expensive. With the increasing variety of high-end pure wines being produced, Ripple wine eventually became known as a cheap wine that was easy to get drunk on and was mostly consumed by college students. Ripple is no longer produced by Gallo.

    Creamy Boozy Iced Coffee

    INGREDIENTS

    • 6 ounces strong brewed coffee, well-chilled
    • large handful of ice cubes. tip: freeze leftover coffee in ice cube trays for coffee ice cubes
    • 1 ounce Frangelico
    • 1 ounce half-and-half, or to taste (or cream, milk, flavored coffee creamer, non-dairy milk to keep vegan)
    • sweetener to taste - sugar, stevia, vanilla stevia, or your favorite sweetener
    • whipped topping (or whipped coconut cream to keep vegan), optional for garnishing
    • pinch dark chocolate shavings, optional for garnishing
    • squirt of chocolate syrup, optional

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Brew coffee. Allow it to cool, and pour cooled coffee into a pitcher or large jar. Refrigerate until chilled; overnight is best. I always keep a stash of chilled coffee in the refrigerator.
    2. Add ice cubes to a large glass. Pour coffee over ice.
    3. Add Frangelico, half-and-half, sweetener, and stir to combine.
    4. Optionally, garnish with whipped topping, chocolate shavings, chocolate syrup. Serve immediately.

    5. Take care all ingredients used are suitable for your dietary needs. Drink is intended for those whom alcohol consumption is appropriate. Always drink responsibly.

    The Ultimate Frozen Chocolate Mudslide

    Ingredients

1 1/2 oz chocolate vodka - (vanilla or even plain vodka would work as well)
    1 1/2 oz Bailey's Irish cream
    1 1/2 oz Kahlua
    1 oz creme de cacao
    48 oz chocolate ice cream

    GARNISHES

    chocolate syrup
    chocolate sprinkles
    grated chocolate
    mini chocolate chips

    Instructions

To a large blender, add chocolate vodka, Irish cream, Kahlua, creme de cacao and chocolate ice cream. Cover and blend well. You may need to scrape the sides of your blender halfway through, then continue blending.

    FOR SERVING

Drizzle chocolate syrup in a small shallow plate, and add chocolate sprinkles to another small shallow plate. Dip glass rims in chocolate syrup, then in sprinkles. If desired, drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside of the glasses in a random pattern. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Pour mudslide into glasses, top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of grated chocolate and a few mini chocolate chips. Enjoy!
