Charley Pride, country music's first Black star whose rich baritone on such hits as "Kiss an Angel Good Morning" helped sell millions of records and made him the first Black member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, has died. He was 86.

Pride died Saturday in Dallas of complications from COVID-19, according to Jeremy Westby of the public relations firm 2911 Media.

Charlie always sang and played guitar since he was very young. But did you know that he was also a professional baseball player ?
He was a pitcher in the black leagues but never made it to the majors, instead he went to Nashville and became the Charlie Pride we all loved.

This song sung by Charlie is not one of his hits (not even one of his songs) but seems fitting at a time like this...
