LA Dodgers 2020 World Series Champs

The Dodgers went on to win game 6 against the Tamba Bay Devil Rays to become the 2020 World Series Champions !
LA got the 3-1 win over TambaBay, with some good work (as usual) from Mookie Betts' bat.

LA's ace Pitcher Clayton Kershaw, had earlier in the Series gained the all time MLB record with the most strike outs in Post Season play.

Starting Pitchers in Game 6 :
    Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin
    Rays' Blake Snell

    C/P
    - Dodgers pulled Tony Gonsolinn after just 1 2/3 innings and a run allowed, and manager Dave Roberts had to piece together a bullpen effort for the victory. From Dylan Floro to Alex Wood to Pedro Baez to Victor Gonzalez to Brusdar Graterol to Julio Urias, the LA bullpen pitched a shutout with just 5 hits in total.
    - Rays manager Kevin Cash, pulled a dominant Blake Snell in the sixth inning and caught heat for the decision. The Dodgers wound up scoring two runs off Nick Anderson to take the lead for good.

Dodgers co-owner Magic Johnson was on hand in Dallas and was going crazy when the Dodgers won!

Last time Dodgers won the World Series was back in 1988.

This was Tamba Bay's second appearance in World Series play.
Tamba Bay was dead last in 2007 , but then went on to the World Series in 2008, but lost to the Philadelphia Phillies.

    On another note...
The Dodgers may all end up celebrating in Quarantine for the next 2 weeks
One of the team members was tested positive, with results confirmed during the game.
He was pulled from game 6 during the 8th inning.

in 1988, there was this guy Kirk Gibson.
When he was called upon to do something, he always came thru.
in 1988 during World Series play in game 1 against the Oakland team, Kirk was not scheduled to play. He had leg and knee injuries during the playoffs and could hardly get himself into any kinda playing condition. But he was on the bench never the less.

I think it was the 9th inning with the Dodgers last at bat and down by one run and with two out and with one man on base.
LA's manager, Tony Lasordo called on Gibson and what happened next was crazy... just take a listen to it as called by Vin Scully...

Notice who was on the mound for Oakland?
Dennis Eckersley, one of the all-time best closing pitchers.

Orel Hershiser pitched a complete game 6 to get the LA team their 1988 World Series.
