2020 Charles Schwab Challenge - first tourney back since covid -Daniel Berger

Justin Rose and Harold Varner III enter Friday leading the loaded field at the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge.
Varner started Friday's round with a Triple Bogey
But not to worry as Vander's putter was on fire and he ended the day out front with 8 birdies to get him there.
Bryson DeChambeau finishes Friday tied in second spot with Jordon Speith.
Speith did have a double bogey, but he bounced back to end the round in good shape.
Collin Morikawa ends tied for 4th. Some are saying that Morikawa is the best with his putter since Tiger woods was on his game.
McIlroy is up there too tied for 4th.

    It's 'Cut' day at Colonial.
A few big names missed the cut .... Phil, Dustin Johnson and Jason Day all missed the cut
Phil will be 50 years old this Sunday. No one has won an Open at that age, so maybe something to look forward to in the near future
Tiger never showed for this tourney, nor will he be at the next tourney coming up next week @ Harbour town, but the top 5 in the world will be there.

The average tee shot distance has surpassed any other record from the past during play at Colonial.

But IMO, none of them highlight reels show the real 'shot of the day' .
It was from Jhonattan Vegas on the 18th hole.
His day included 5 Bogeys, 12 Pars and no Birdies. To make the cut, he needed a Birdie at the par4 18th.
He hit the green and was set for a Birdie putt, but it was about 60 or more feet away.
So after a grueling 5 Bogey day, Vegas stepped it up and sank the Birdie shot at the 18th

Most everyone is finished for today's round with only the last few groups to come in.
Its a tough Leaderboard today with the top 15 spots all within 3 strokes of the leader.
We have 4 players tied at the top, with a round of 12 under, but them guys are not finished yet.
Speith is one of the four at the top and still on the course and currently at hole 15

Xander Schauffele takes the outright lead @ -13 with a Birdie on the 18th
Speith sitting at -12 with a group of others.
Speith has the last hole still to play !

Looks like Speith has his game back , very nice to see

ohhh Speith misses the green at 18.. He needed to chip in to tie for the lead.... but that was not to be.

Xander Schauffele is our Leader after Saturday's Round 3

Round 4 has Bryson DeChambeau at -15 on the 16th, but bogey puts him back tied with 3 others at -14
Xander Schauffele at the 12th is sitting alone at -15
