Recording... thumb drive vs hard drive that is the question!!!

Which is better or has the better performance a thumb / flash drive are a external hard drive.. Assuming both have the same usb 2.0 speed.

    Thanks,

in my opinion If external hard drive is not a ssd then I would use thumb/flash drive but disadvantage is that you may not have too much capacity.

Thanks, what size ssd do I need? They are expensive compared to the old spinning style HDD.

Do you have a good place to get other than the big box stores?

    Thank you

You need USB, but you can get a HDD cradle that is UBS that will accept 2.5 and 3.5 HHD in the same slot. Of course one at a time.
