Some Daytona Track Records & Stats

This race uses the modified engine 'spacers' and wheel venting system, and also a special spoiler to keep speed down First Daytona cup race not using restrictor plates!

Double Yellow Line at Daytona = do not pass: In order to emphasize the yellow-line rule at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway where passes are not permitted, NASCAR has made the single yellow line into a double-yellow line. The second yellow line was painted on the inside of the existing yellow line.
