Organizing Groups

So when I bring up this screen I can un check categories I want to show as far as channels go. I put a check next to the ones I want (USA, sports, music channels) and the categories I don't want I leave unchecked ( International channels, XXX, etc).

I hit ok and exit out of the menu and I now have all of the categories I want to see and not all of the channel categories that the provider has to offer.

The problem becomes every time I restart MOL or reboot the box all of the channel categories come back.

Is this normal?

I guess it is or no one has any idea what I am talking about.
