hooking up a receiver in hotel room

I am trying to hook up my receiver in a hotel room. it says on the receiver that I am hooked up to the internet but it will not let me on any sites .

you need to open the browser and enter your hotel room number and your name or whatever credential hotel gave to you. once confirmed then you will be able to use it.
