I have noticed and not sure if there is a setting in the Buzztv XR4000 .to brighten the display when watching video or live-tv...........
I've tested and compared the 3000 and 4000 on the same TV and hook up.......The 3000 is noticeably brighter ..(normal) The 4000 is darker........Any input to this problem... Obviously not the TV...

Went ahead and changed the player and now the display looks normal...but of course the secondary player I'm now using does not allow recording....... Don't record much anyway,,,so Im happy
