What's up with all these new 5g models?

Is the only difference the 5Ghz wifi or did they change anything else?

Only the dual wifi w/5G wifi is the difference.
Otherwise same receiver, same software, same , same

There is no 5G cellphone service in Canada at this time although there are some 5G cellphones coming out but running out to buy one isn't advisable since it will take a lot of time to build a 5G network as more towers will be needed to cover the same areas that are presently serviced by the 3G & 4G cellphone service providers. If this post relates more to the digital tv set top boxes which run various versions of android, the its related to the AC - WiFi which is a whole different area although it doesn't really matter much if they are plugged in via an ethernet cable to the modem or router. I wouldn't run out and buy a 5G cellphone as they'll drop in prices by the time there is a 5G service available.
