xpl 3000 reset

I did a reset of my 2017 3000 to get rid of the trash that was on it. Mistake.
After restart it woiuld not remeber mac address change, worked untill you turned it off then back on it woiuld revert to the default mac address.
I got my provider to change my subscription to the default which had been released from a previous provider so that problem was solved.

When on live tv and have the menu up there is no longer the ability to fine tune the epg. I used to be able to change it - or + in 30 minute intervals.
That is gone. Made sure the box is on the right time and time zone and the epg is off 3 hourds.

When the menu is up and hit check for updates there used to be the choice of "check local source, automatic check, and manual check" etc.etc.. That is gone.
Hit check for updates now all it does is turn off the menu, no pop up saying no updates available.
I have done the revert to factory settings 6 times and nothing changes. Must be loading from internal memory.
Anybody have any suggestions? I like this box it is head and shoulders above the avov that was my first box.
I ordered the xpl 3900, would like to get this one into the same condition it was before the reset.

the choice for update in live tv menu was never there
you can offset epg in menu/configuration
what version are you currently at?

Version 1.6. No configuration option there.
Have Parental Control, Account info, Settings (server settings), Check updates,
Display style, Auto Shut Off App,
Player, and Exit.

I think the server for updates is still off for holidays
