Is there a way to disable the auto shut down when not active for a certain amount of time?

I find it convenient as it is in my bedroom and turns off during the night after I fall asleep. I imagine if you just quickly change channels it will reset but why do you care if it's not active?

I don't have a T1 in front of me but when watching tv press menu
there should be a setting to turn on or off the app
