HDMI Auto Adaptation on Dreamlink T2

In Settings, Android, Display, on the Dreamlink T2, there is something called HDMI Auto Adaptation.
There is a little blue box. It goes to back and white if you take it off.

I have my Custom Display Format set to 1080p/60.

What is the standard setting here for HDMI Auto Adaptation, and how if not correct, can it affect video quality and video output.

    Explain in some detail.

TV has to support CEC HDMI protocol, and your STB will adjust the refresh rate of the TV to match the Source signal to reduce playback distortion (smoother playback)
