    Epg question - kodi 16.1 issue - i'm stumped

This started 3 days ago and I can't find an answer anywhere, so thought I would ask here.

This started with my latest epg pull. The guide data for all channels that are FOX or NBC related, the data shows wrong info for current time. It shows the same data every day, all day, but in tv channel view it shows the correct info for the next hour! For FOX New York HD and FOX Miami the guide shows Showtime at the Apollo, FOX News shows Justice with Judge Jeanine, CNBC shows Undercover Boss, MSCNB HD shows This Happened: Sex, Lies & the Candidate and NBC New York HD shows Dateline NBC!

The correct epg data shows in KODI 17.6 and 18. Anyone have any ideas? Clearing caches doesn't help nor does deleting databases or rebooting.

    I'm totally stumped!

To be clear, this is an android install. Same issue with SPMC 16.4-2

It's bizarre that it's only affecting NBC and FOX channels...

If I go into EPG view then the data listed above fills the channels in both directions.

The above issue is on my Minix Neo that is 3 years old and still has android 4.4 on it. I guess this would be the perfect time to bite the bullet and flash a ROM to upgrade to lollipop (LOL) and then install KODI 17.6 on it. I've been resisting as it doesn't go well for everyone according to the Minix forum. But I do have 2 newer boxes that already have 17.6 on them but I just prefer the Minix and the air mouse/keyboard/remote combo and it uses my M$ mouse and keyboard with no problems, too. Not to mention all the other stuff I have installed on there. I bought these newer boxes and used each one for a few days and put them back in their boxes. They work great but I just don't like the remotes. (talk about spoiled!)

Guess I'll be reporting tomorrow how my android upgrade on Minix goes.

Did they jump the gun on those Nets with respect to daylight savings time and that is affecting your pull? I know that prospect is remote, but you're an hour off and daylight savings time (DST) begins on March 11. Stranger things Horatio! Anyway, that is the best my feeble gray matter could dredge up...

Well...it seems like it has something to do with android. I'm using an epg that is hosted on my nas. The same file shows the correct info on my windows machines. How can the same file show different outputs depending on operating systems?

I updated the android operating system and installed Kodi 17.6. Put the very same info for samba shared-epg and m3u and started up the pvr.I swear to God that when it started it looked like the correct epg data was showing for the NBC and FOX channels. Then I started putting back my addons and rebooted KODI and when it opened those 2 channel groups reverted back to crap!

I'm gonna uninstall Kodi and reboot and reinstall with no addons and see if one of them is the culprit. I get the feeling this isn't going to be an easy fix.

Very odd indeed... Best of luck with the tinkering. Let us know how it turns out. It does seem weird that an add-on would be responsible, but that very well could explain it.

Looking at this with fresh eyes today I decided to just pull the guide again but not use the UTC flag and see if pulling the data in local time helps. Touch wood, it seems to have fixed the issue.

Not wanting to jinx it, so am letting it go!

Wonder how long it will last...

Just another one of those unexplained phenomenons. But I do wish I knew why it was only 2 channel groups and only on android that was affected to begin with!

Glad it is better at the moment. Hopefully, it is cured!

I think it has something to do with the time change tomorrow. Mine's doing the same thing on kodi 17.6. If you go to tomorrows epg info on your guide, you'll see that the info is fixed and correct.
