When Lynyrd Skynyrd came to Fame studios in MSC, Alabama they did a concert lined up by Rick Hall at Florence Lauderdale Coliseum downtown Florence, Al on Spring street. We all loaded up and made a Willie B's run to Guys, Tn. and got some of Gerome's finest. Concert day we Hit Florence about five and dragged out some of the local bud's. I was walking on the floor GA and giving every girl in the place a kiss and a couple of shotguns. The cops just let us do whatever we wanted and they were GREAT Here is the one that got every person at the show going wild>>>

This is the band we saw. It was around october of 1973.

    Cool

"In 1986, the band Fine Young Cannibals' cover version, which features backing vocals by Jimmy Somerville, reached No. 8 on the UK Singles chart. Singer Roland Gift said that Elvis had come to him in a dream and told him he would record the greatest version of Suspicious Minds ever." Lol...!!!

The Fine Young Cannibals' music video for the song was filmed in black & white and, for most it, remains that way. However, the video is noted for its innovative use of colorization, following the bridge section of the song. The video pays homage to Elvis, both in its use of the monochrome filming (common during Elvis' early career) and the shiny spangled suits that the band wear in the second half of the video.

here's a bit of trivia for you.

Did you know that Kurt Russel had a small part in Tom Hank's movie Forrest Gump ?
Not many know that but yup, it's true.

The scene when Forrest was young and in his Mom's Boarding house. Elvis was one of the guests.
I do not know who that actor was that played the part of Elvis, but the voice over was done by Kurt Russel
